Certifications

All Axis Lighting products are UL-tested under both Canadian and U.S. standards.

Our fixtures meet the IC standard established by the Canadian Electrical Code section 30-906 and can be in contact with combustible material or blanketed with thermal insulation.

Many Axis Lighting fixtures are certified by the DesignLights Consortium (DLC), a non-profit organization dedicated to accelerating the widespread adoption of high-quality, energy-efficient commercial lighting solutions.

Our products are designed and manufactured to comply with New York City building codes, including the 2016 NYC Energy Conservation Code and the Department of Building’s (DOB) Energy Code, which addresses lighting requirements, interpretations and documentation queries.

All of our circuitry is sealed and gasketed from the plenum air space, thereby complying with the City of Chicago Electrical Code.

Axis products meet the standard “Electrical and Photometric Measurements of Solid-State Lighting Products” adopted by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES).

Our products meet standards established by ANSI and the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) on “Measuring Luminous Flux and Color Maintenance of LED Packages, Arrays and Modules.”

We have calculated the life of our luminaires using the “Projecting Long Term Lumen Maintenance of LED Light Sources” standard created by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES).
